"You must have a place to which you can go, in your heart, your mind, or your house, where you do not owe anyone, and where no one owes you - a place that simply allows for the blossoming of something new and promising"

- Joseph Campbell

Welcome

Hi, I’m Stacey Pinke and thanks for checking out my site. Until recently, I have enjoyed working as a Registered Dietitian and this work satisfied my intellect, curiosity, and serious nature.  I have also enjoyed working as a Registered Yoga Teacher for both children and adults over the last 13 years.  This type of work allows me to be playful, spontaneous, creative and I love sharing my joy with others.  Yoga has helped me understand myself better.  Through the years my interests and skills have changed.  Read on to discover more about me and my offerings.  Please have fun exploring my site and I look forward to assisting you on your journey.

About

When my daughter was in preschool, she came home with a flyer promoting a gentle yoga class.  I was a gym rat, yet the thought of trying something gentle enticed me.  After one yoga class, I was hooked.  A short while later, I told my husband I was going to be a yoga instructor.  I enrolled in a yoga teacher training and upon completion, I heard my inner voice calmly say, “Teach yoga to kids.” Shortly after, I took my first of many kids’ yoga teacher trainings.

I have offered yoga and nutrition workshops, yoga camps, mother/daughter yoga classes, group classes and private sessions.

Currently, I am changing course.  I have stopped teaching yoga to kids.  Now I am teaching yoga to adults on the autism spectrum and to adults with brain injuries.

I have written a book called Wanna Play Yoga:  Create A “fun”-tastic Kids Yoga Class in Your Authentic Voice.  This book will help you overcome challenges during difficult times, find your authentic self and teach an awesome yoga class to kids.

My yoga journey continues as I help others empower themselves to make positive change in their lives.

My husband joined me on this yoga journey.  Today his favorite yoga practice is Kundalini Yoga and one of our favorite studios is Montclair Kundalini Yoga.  Together we attended a yoga retreat in Costa Rica.

"I was lucky enough to teach some health and nutrition awareness workshops with Stacey and I can only recommend her as one of the best dietitians I know."

I had done yoga for a couple of months before I took your class.  It was only then, that I got the importance of breathing.   After that, yoga has taken on a richer meaning for me.  I credit that to your clear teaching.  Getting the breathing right also made me more able to get into the flow of class and not be concerned with what anyone else might think about how well I did the positions.  Thanks for all your help.
